Prior hotel experience is very important. You will be the primary hotel maintenance person for a 92-room quality hotel responsible for all facets of property upkeep, condition and maintenance. If you are a self-motivated, take-initiative, problem-solving, self-confident individual, this may be a good fit.

* prior quality hotel maintenance experience is strongly preferred

* Holiday Inn Express or branded hotel experience extremely beneficial

* working knowledge of Quore

* will adapt to multiple situations and prioritize with a positive attitude

* must be mature, responsible individual with diverse knowledge and skills

* must have CPO certification and practical pool maintenance experience

Our lead maintenance person is responsible to maintain the entire hotel facility including:

• Physical building structure
• Mechanical, electrical (emergency lighting, etc.), H.V.A.C systems-filtration, paint, dry wall, tile replacement, shampooer-extractor, among others
• pool and hot tub (CPO certification required)
• Related equipment to ensure they are in top form
• Independently manage and complete special projects
• Ensure guest areas are maintained resulting in an attractive, well-kept hotel
• Maintain IHG brand-required documentation
• Complete weekly-monthly-quarterly Quore projects tasks properly

Job Requirements:

• Conduct visual walk-through to assess the safe and efficient operation of the physical hotel, including all mechanical, electrical, H.V.A.C. systems, pool-hot tub, and any other related equipment
• Ensure and verify completion of all routine maintenance to public space, meeting rooms, outlets, back of the house and grounds
• Perform and verify completion of all repairs and replacement projects
• Adhere to all purchasing procedures and controls, to include budgeting and schedules
• Perform and maintain Preventive Maintenance programs
• Update the General Manager daily regarding the overall condition of the building systems and equipment offering cost-effective proposals for maintaining same.
• A combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities is required
• A minimum of 1 year hotel maintenance experience is preferred
• We will be looking for a candidate with excellent interpersonal abilities, customer service, expense control, problem resolution and research skills
• The candidate must be able to work independently, take initiative, have a "can-do" attitude and coordinate very well with department heads
• The ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed (but rare)
• Must have strong communicating skills, and the ability to Quore online app to track and record daily, monthly and quarterly tasks
• Ability to write and listen effectively, and speak English clearly to communicate with guests, clients and associates, and prepare written reports.

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements:

• morning meeting daily with the General Manager
• prepare daily project and task list for self and inform General Manager of same
• update and report daily to General Manager at end of shift regarding status of daily plan
• Other duties as assigned by management
• Attend all required meetings as directed by management

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
