What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Associate/Night Auditor position at Holiday Inn Express & Suites?
Job Description:
- Providing excellent, friendly customer service to all that walk through the doors.
- Swiftly perform all check ins, outs, and creation of reservations.
- Answer phones in a timely, professional manner.
- Provide information to guests about the hotel, rates, availability, and IHG One Rewards program.
- Collect all necessary information from guests to get them registered (like contact details, ensuring dates of stay are correct).
- Handle all cash and credit/debit transactions.
- Work with housekeeping to ensure all rooms are ready for guests at check in.
- Collect pertinent information for Sales Manager to reach out to guests interested in group blocks and securing the meeting room.
- Ensuring the lobby is clean and presentable at all time to met hotel and brand standards.
- Respond to all guest compliments, complaints, and requests in a timely, professional manner.
- Run appropriate reports per shift and ensure shift checklist is completed in its entirety.
- If working Night Audit, ensuring hotel financials are in order, running end of day, and compiling daily reporting.
- Flexible availability, could work 7a-3p, 3p-11p and maybe an occasional Night Audit shift 11p-7a should there be a call out but Night Audit would not be your regular shift.

- Ability to take direction from hotel and front desk management.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and guest.
- Ability to handle a multi-line phone.
- Ability to handle our guest’s confidential information such as room number, credit card information, and vehicle information.
- Ability to balance a cash drawer.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work a varied schedule in accordance to hotel needs.
- Must be available weekends.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Hotel front desk/night audit experience preferred.
- Ability to work as a team or independently.
- Critical thinking.
