Position: Front Desk Supervisor Reports To: Front Office Manager / Assistant General Manager / General Manager Position Summary: The Front Desk Supervisor at Ivy Hospitality is pivotal in delivering exceptional guest service by overseeing the smooth operations of the Front Desk. This role requires a proactive leader who can inspire a team to exceed guest expectations, maintain front office standards, and ensure efficient and friendly service. Inspire Front Desk Associates to engage and amaze every guest, ensuring courteous and seamless service from check-in to departure. Address and resolve guest concerns promptly, reinforcing Ivy Hospitality’s commitment to exceptional service. Foster a welcoming atmosphere by ensuring associates greet guests with warmth, make eye contact, and maintain a polished, professional appearance. Oversee the efficient handling of all Front Desk functions, including phone management, reservations, and guest inquiries. Support front desk operations during peak periods and cover shifts as needed to ensure smooth operations and team support. Ensure the accuracy of all front office procedures, including daily audits and account reconciliations. Maintain and manage an adequate supply of front office essentials and amenities. Coordinate with vendors for ordering and inventory control, keeping the Front Desk stocked with necessary supplies and materials. Empower team members through training and continuous feedback, encouraging professional growth and development. Conduct team huddles to communicate performance standards, share updates, and align the team on service goals. Implement quality checks to ensure that Front Desk operations align with Ivy Hospitality’s standards of service and guest satisfaction. Conduct audits of guest accounts, billing, and room assignments to maintain accuracy and efficiency in service delivery Flexibility with shift coverage, inventory management, and performing front office audits are key aspects of this role.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a front desk role within a hotel environment, with prior supervisory experience strongly preferred. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality or leadership training is preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in front office software and able to perform basic math for account reconciliations. Ability to work flexible hours based on business.
