The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for setting up/disassembling the Breakfast Buffet at Atwell Suites KCI, ensuring cleanliness and well-stocked menu items. Must be friendly, outgoing, attentive, and provide an exceptional meal experience for guests.

The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for setting up/disassembling the Breakfast Buffet at Atwell Suites KCI, ensuring cleanliness and well-stocked menu items. Must be friendly, outgoing, attentive, and provide an exceptional meal experience for guests.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up the Breakfast Buffet before breakfast hours begin with food, beverages, and other supplies/utensils; disassemble the Breakfast Buffet after breakfast hours have ended.
- Ensure cleanliness of the Breakfast Buffet and surrounding areas before, during, and after breakfast hours.
- Maintain food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ensure that the buffet remains well stocked during breakfast hours.
- Monitor and replenish Breakfast Buffet items as needed.
- Greet guests warmly, demonstrate a positive attitude, and assist with any inquiries or special requests.
- Work with the Hotel Manager and/or direct supervisor to accommodate any special requests or needs for a group.
- Assist with kitchen duties as required.
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) system for guest transactions.
- Lead by example; encourage co-workers to always perform at the highest levels.
- Ask for feedback from supervisors and provide feedback as needed; be open and willing to take directions and/or make changes to job performance as needed.
- Engage guests at all opportunities to build a level of comfort between the guest and our property, instilling a “Home Away From Home” comfort during their stay.
- Understand and respond to customer’s needs and ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations and food handling practices.
- Knowledge of food and safety guidelines.
- Must have a food handler’s card or the ability to obtain one before starting.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Experience in a restaurant, banquet, or food service role is required; previous experience in hospitality or guest services is preferred.
