Front Desk Agent – Full-Service Hotel
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front Desk Agent to join our team at a full-service hotel. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, exceptional guest service skills, and the flexibility to assist in various hotel departments when needed. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience.
Responsibilities:
- Guest Interaction: Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with information about the hotel’s amenities and services.
- Front Desk Operations: Efficiently manage guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring a smooth and timely process.
- Guest Service: Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and a problem-solving attitude.
- Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate guest information and reservations using hotel management software.
- Cash Handling: Process payments and securely manage cash transactions.
- Inventory Management: Restock inventory for the Sweet Shop, perform regular inventory counts, and ensure product availability.
- Team Work: Assist in hotel operations beyond the front desk, such as learning Toast POS for processing transactions in other departments like food and beverage.
- Cleaning & Maintenance: Assist with cleaning tables and maintaining cleanliness in common areas and meeting spaces as needed.
- Event Support: Assist with setting up and breaking down meeting rooms and event spaces for guests.
- Collaboration: Work closely with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Local Recommendations: Provide guests with recommendations for local attractions, dining, and activities to enhance their stay.
- Phone Etiquette: Uphold professional phone etiquette when responding to calls and guest inquiries.
- Standards & Procedures: Adhere to all hotel brand standards and operational procedures.
Requirements:
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods (8 hours) as part of the job duties.
- Experience: Previous experience in front desk operations or guest services in hospitality is preferred.
- Communication: Strong communication skills with a focus on excellent guest relations.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent phone etiquette and the ability to interact with guests and team members effectively.
- Schedule Flexibility: Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Positive Attitude: A proactive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
