Job Overview:
As a Busser/Barback/Food Runner/Host(ess) at Solstice, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth service, assisting both guests and staff. Your responsibilities will include greeting and seating guests, running food to tables, maintaining a clean and organized dining environment, and supporting the bar with stocking and prep.
Key Responsibilities: Busser Duties:
- Clear and reset tables efficiently to maintain a smooth flow of service.
- Assist servers with delivering food and beverages when needed.
- Keep dining areas clean and organized.
- Ensure guests have a seamless and enjoyable experience.
Barback Duties:
- Stock and replenish bar supplies (ice, glassware, garnishes, etc.).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
- Assist bartenders with preparation tasks and running drinks when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Food Runner Duties:
- Deliver food from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately.
- Ensure proper plate presentation before serving.
- Communicate with the kitchen and servers to ensure timely service.
- Answer guests’ questions about dishes and accommodate special requests.
Host(ess) Duties:
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating to optimize service flow.
- Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate guest seating.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service, answering questions about the menu and restaurant.
Qualifications:
- Previous restaurant experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Availability on nights, weekends, and holidays preferred.
