Job Summary:
Seeking a dedicated and reliable Buildings and Grounds Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and upkeep of our RV Park (a condominium styole RV Park). This position is responsible for ensuring that the Park’s common areas, buildings, and landscaping are well-maintained, safe, and aesthetically pleasing. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintenance, landscaping, and general repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and facilities.
- Conduct minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
- Maintain landscaping, including mowing, trimming, watering, and pest control.
- Ensure roads, pathways, and parking areas remain free of hazards such as fallen limbs and branches.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on recreational facilities including picnic areas, beachfront, pavilions, the office and bath houses.
· Collect and properly dispose of yard waste from common areas within the park as well as curbside yard waste from individually owned properties.
- Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery needed for buildings and grounds maintenance and upkeep.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and property guidelines.
- Monitor and report any potential maintenance concerns to management.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repairs promptly.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in property maintenance, landscaping, or a related field.
· Ability to work independently and be somewhat autonomous.
· Must be able to prioritize tasks and effectively create or follow established schedules.
- Possess proven skills in the basics of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other general facilities repairs.
- Ability to safely operate landscaping tools, mowers, and power equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform manual labor.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid Tennessee driver’s license.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Subject to a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Work Schedule and Compensation:
- Tuesdays - Saturdays, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience. This is a non-exempt position.
