What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Generalist position at Holiday Resort Orlando Suites Waterpark?
Perform administrative tasks and provide comprehensive support for talent acquisition, on boarding, training, coaching and employee relation functions. An HR partner that has knowledge and collaborate on innovative ideas and projects with the Director of People Support.
Essential Job Functions
- Manage and perform talent acquisition functions such as posting jobs, ensuring selection by hotel managers of the best qualified candidates.
- Process new hires consistent with established standards and applicable state, federal and local laws and regulations.
- Partners with leadership to communicate policies, procedures, and programs
- Assist in investigations and handles employee relations counseling when needed.
- Participate in college recruitment activities and job fairs as assigned.
- Perform administrative tasks in the HIRS system related to the new hire onboarding cycle.
- Facilitate new hire orientations and other trainings when needed.
- Responsible for maintaining all employee files and applicant documentation
- Maintain current human resources compliance and training knowledge.
- Create and update Human Resources bulletin boards and other posting locations as needed
- Assist and at time organize associate relations events and recognition, as needed, e.g. associate of the Month program, Associate birthdays program, luncheons, etc.
- Provide accurate and timely responses to workers’ compensation and leave of absences when applicable.
- Perform other duties as requested by Director
Position Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or HR certification preferred
- Two years of experience in human resources, hospitality setting preferred.
- Strong Employee Relations background.
- Knowledge of all applicable federal, state and local employment regulations.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, Microsoft Office, HRIS
- Experience with google workspace preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Able to set priorities, plan, organize
- Strong Problem-solving skills and resourceful thinking
- Bilingual a plus
Work Environment and Context
- Requires sitting and standing for extended periods, use of hands and fingers to operate computers and keyboards.
