Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing assistance as needed.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Process patient information, including insurance verification and medical coding (ICD-9).
- Handle medical collections and billing inquiries efficiently.
- Utilize office management systems, including Icanotes electronic record, to track patient data and appointments.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding services, procedures, and policies.
Skills
- Proficient in ICD-9 coding and understanding of medical records management.
- Familiarity with Medicare processes and regulations.
- Strong background in medical office operations and management systems.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to protect patient information.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with medical collection processes is a plus.
