What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Set-Up position at HOLLADAY PROPERTY SERVICES MID WEST INC?

The Banquet Setup personnel will provide administrative, technical, and analytical support to the Banquet Managers. The Banquet Setup staff contributes to the planning, organization, and training necessary to achieve department objectives. They will assist Banquet leadership with insuring that all meetings and banquet functions are set up correctly and timely based on the information in the detail sheets and Banquet Event Orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Ensures meeting rooms appearance are meeting and exceeding standards as well as always maintaining compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Directs and verifies the proper set-up and breakdown of all function areas as required by banquet event orders
- Monitors the Banquet, Catering, and Meeting room facilities for any Housekeeping or Engineering needs and report deficiencies to appropriate department
- Checks tables arrangements, glassware, chairs, staging, and linen needed for all events that apply
- Works alongside setup crew, coaching & counseling when applicable
- Monitors inventories of all required materials and order as necessary
- Constant inspection and evaluation of banquet rooms, functions, serving and set staff performance
- Takes ownership of Internal Guest morale
- Prepares assignments for staff
- Holds staff to the highest level of service expectations
- Performs additional duties and projects as assigned

Compensation:
The Banquet Set-Up compensation will be based on experience and qualifications. This range is subject to local, state and regional dynamics and may be adjusted up or down depending on market conditions.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- This position does not have any supervisory responsibility
Promotional Opportunity:
Associates with more than twelve (12) months of service may request consideration to transfer to other jobs as vacancies become available and will be considered along with other applicants. To be considered, Associates must have a satisfactory performance record and have no disciplinary actions during the last twelve (12) months. Management retains the discretion to make exceptions to the policy.

Requirements:Qualifications:
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
- Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment
- Minimum three (3) years Banquet experience
- Strong customer service experience, interpersonal, and communication skills are required
- Strong analytical, decision-making and problem- solving skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to be flexible, adaptable and responsive to change
