Are you looking for something new? Holland Applied Technologies is seeking a Polisher to join our team! A Polisher discolors and polishes various stainless steel parts including frames, manifolds, adapters and spools.
Holland Applied Technologies, located in Burr Ridge IL, is a leader in the sanitary process/equipment industry. We fabricate and distribute sanitary equipment and systems for the food, pharmaceutical, personal care, and beverage industries.
Job Responsibilities:- Improvement of surface finish and correction of any material defects on stainless steel material.
- Operates equipment in accordance with specifications. Equipment may include pneumatic and electric hand grinders, pedestal grinders and buffers.
- Maintains tools and machinery as needed.
- Performs with high attention to detail and produces high-quality parts.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Assures parts are clean and placed in their respective areas for the next manufacturing process.
- Maintains a clean, safe and orderly work area at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentations (work orders, drawings and specifications).
- Ability to follow work instructions and work well in a team.
- Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of polishing stainless-steel materials preferred
- Must be able to lift parts up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged time periods.
- Exposure to dust, odors, oil, fumes, noise, and different climate temperatures.
- Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
Pay & Benefits:
The expected salary range for this role is $20.00-$25.00 hourly. Please note salaries are based upon factors including candidate skills, experience and qualifications, education, certifications, as well as market and business considerations. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Other factors include the following benefits: Medical insurance is available for full time employees and their dependents through Blue Cross Blue Shield. There are various options available including HSA and PPO plans. Similarly, dental, vision, and disability coverages are also available.
