PROMAN Staffing has partnered with our client, who is nationally known as a leader in exterior and interior door design and manufacturing to hire a Polishing Operator to join their R & D team in West Chicago.

A Polishing Operator to perform precision polishing on molds and dies, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet customer specifications. This role requires expertise in various polishing techniques, quality inspections, and blueprint interpretation. Candidates should be detail-oriented, cost-conscious, and efficient in their work.
Polishing Operator Key Responsibilities:
- Polish and finish molds/dies using standard polishing practices and hand tools.
- Inspect molds/dies from external suppliers for quality and adherence to specifications.
- Interpret blueprints to ensure accurate and high-quality results.
- Perform in-process die inspections and part measurements using micrometers, calipers, and height indicators.
- Collaborate with CNC machining operations to meet production schedules.
- Communicate work status and assignments across shifts for seamless workflow.
- Assist in managing materials and tooling inventories to support production goals.
- Maintain certifications and stay updated on polishing techniques and safe work practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Polishing Operator Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in a machine shop focusing on finishing and equipment.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with various polishing methods.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools ( /- 0.002” tolerances) for self-inspection.
- High school diploma required; trade school preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- CNC machining experience is a plus.

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
