Join our dynamic team at Holland Aquatic Center! We are committed to providing exceptional service and fostering a safe and enjoyable environment for our patrons and community members. We are seeking an Operations Supervisor (OS) to oversee our operations. The standard schedule is Monday to Friday from 5am-1pm with occasional evening and weekend rotations. Final Schedule will be set upon hiring and may be adjusted based on operational needs.

The OS, will serve as the primary point of contact and support system for our team members, while also being responsible for maintaining the facility's operations and ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures. This role requires excellent supervisory, customer service, and conflict resolution skills, along with demonstrated ethical behavior, and mature judgment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent supervision and leadership skills to the HAC team.
  • Provide excellent customer service and strong positive attitude.
  • Provide excellent conflict resolution skills, as required.
  • Work as an effective team member contributing to and supporting all activities, policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the development and training of all team members.
  • Open and/or close the building, manages staff and issues concerning staff throughout the day.
  • Oversee the day’s activities including set-up, take down, and staff breaks.
  • Monitor all team member conduct and gives direction and feedback, as necessary.
  • Report day to day events or concerns to appropriate team managers.
  • Interact positively with the public answering questions and concerns, enforces facility policies.
  • Oversee and leads response of emergencies in the building according to the Facility Emergency Procedures.
  • Ensure proper paperwork is completed and submitted for situations that arise.
  • Assist with in-services and training sessions, as needed.
  • Identify facility needs and assist staff, and guests in all areas of the facility, as needed.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Current Waterpark Lifeguard Certification, or ability to achieve within 60 days of hire.
  • Current CPR/AED certification for Lifeguards, or ability to achieve within 60 days of hire.
  • Current Emergency oxygen certification, or ability to achieve within 60 days of hire.
  • Proven ability to act as a positive role model for all team members and project a positive attitude, manner, and appearance.
  • Demonstrated exceptional punctuality and attendance.
  • Demonstrated mature judgment and reliable and ethical behavior.
  • Ability to organize and manage several tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot quickly in times of high pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others.
  • The standard schedule is Monday to Friday from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and weekend rotations as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatics Facility Operator (AFO)
  • Lifeguard Management Certification
  • Current Lifeguard Instructor Certification
  • Head Lifeguard at HAC for 3 years or equivalent experience elsewhere.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
