Accounts Payable Specialist
We are a growing Residential/Multi-Unit Construction Company seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team! This position will be responsible for performing the daily AP functions in a high-volume environment. We are a fast pace construction company looking for the right person with great people skills, multi-tasking, detail oriented, organized and precise.
Responsibilities:
- Process and review high volume of invoices, make payments accurately and timely
- Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies
- Manage vendor accounts, credit card and expense accounts
- Create and post accounts to general ledger
- Process and release weekly payments collecting Waiver Releases
- Reconcile all vendor and subcontractor statements on weekly/monthly
- Meet AP month end deadlines and prepare invoice accruals
- Maintain vendor relationships and handle inquiries
- Review unpaid bill reports
- Process New Vendor Onboarding requirements
- Maintain and verify vendor compliance, including agreements, license, and insurance
- Assist the Controller with necessary support and other related duties as assigned
- Construction knowledge, progress billings, job costing, change orders
- Process subcontractor lien release notices
- Support with payroll via BBSI
- QuickBooks, Proficient in word, excel, google docs (buildertrend)
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in accounting preferred, 3 years AP experience
- Construction Accounting experience preferred
- Expert with Quickbooks on-line
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Proficient in excel, word, google docs (buildertrend training will be provided)
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions
- Excellent self-starter, organized, detailed and accurate
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast pace environment
- Keep information confidential
- Bilingual English & Spanish preferred
Compensation:
- $52,000 - $62,400 annual DOE
- 1 week vacation after 1 year of employment
- 9 sick days 8 paid holidays
- 401K plan with up to 4% Employer match after 1 year
