What are the responsibilities and job description for the Athletic Trainer - Temporary position at Holland Hall School?
Holland Hall was established in 1922 and currently serves approximately 1,000 PreK through 12th grade students in a coeducational setting. This position provides athletic health care to student athletes. Responsible for prevention, recognition, and disposition of athletic injuries.
Date of Duties:
Training dates: Monday, March 24 - Friday April 4, 2025 - A few days of training in coordination with Jim Mansfield.
Job dates: Monday, April 7 - May 16, 2025. (May 12th-16th will only be for Upper School practices if teams are still in the OSSAA playoff and possible home soccer playoff game.
JOB DUTIES
Prevention, recognition, and disposition of athletic injuries.
Medical coverage of practice and games.
Proper supervision of Athletic Training Student Aides.
Communication with coaches, parents, other healthcare professionals as necessary. Professional documentation of injuries and treatments.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-stocked athletic training clinic.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND: Bachelors degree
PREVIOUS RELATED EXPERIENCE NATA: BOC certification
EXPECTATIONS/REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE:
Ability to handle emergency situations.
Knowledge of current best medical practices.
Ability to work with Middle and Upper school students.
Ability to cover multiple games and practices at once.
Ability to manage several injured athletes at once.
Ability to work with highly competitive athletes and coaches.
Regular attendance as agreed upon with the athletic director is required for successful completion of job duties.
2:30pm-5:30pm and home athletic events assigned by the Athletic Director.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Regularly sit, turn, bend, reach, walk, talk, hear and to visually intercept visitors.
Be able to occasionally lift up to 60 pounds.
Regularly uses close and distance vision.
Work can be indoors in a temperature controlled, sealed office, studio, gymnasium or outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
Cover games and practices in somewhat adverse weather conditions.
