We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to manage bookkeeping, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR). This role supports HDC’s financial operations and compliance efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries.
- Record and reconcile financial transactions in QuickBooks.
- Process invoices, payments, and vendor records for AP.
- Generate invoices and track payments for AR.
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Assist with payroll processing and benefits deductions for a small staff.
- Support audits and financial reviews with organized documentation.
- Prepare financial reports and assist with compliance requirements.
- Maintain vendor records, including W-9s and payment terms.
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry for all financial transactions.
Qualifications
- 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- QuickBooks proficiency required.
- Experience with AP, AR, and reconciliations.
- Strong Excel skills (basic formulas, pivot tables a plus).
- Understanding of GAAP principles and financial best practices.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a small team environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $44,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
