Flex Security Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a flexible, part-time Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to emergencies, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. The Security Officer will monitor premises through surveillance systems, enforce rules and regulations, and provide assistance during incidents.

As a part-time Flex Security Officer, you will be expected to work various shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays, with no set schedule. Flexibility is key, as the position requires filling in gaps and covering shifts based on operational needs.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security at all times.
• Provide access control, allowing only authorized persons to enter the premises.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, and provide first aid when necessary.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations while maintaining a professional and calm demeanor.
• Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify and address potential security risks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement when required during incidents or investigations.
• Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken in daily reports.
• Assist in loss prevention by identifying theft or suspicious behavior and reporting accordingly.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong conflict skills, with the ability to de-escalate tense situations.
• First Aid certification is preferred; CPR certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of law enforcement principles and practices is advantageous.
• Experience in military, law enforcement, or security-related fields is desirable.
• Understanding of loss prevention strategies and techniques.
• Excellent observational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be flexible and able to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Pay: $16.75 - $17.15 per hour
