What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Operations, Safety Division position at Holley Performance?
The Director of Operations is responsible for leading all Operations activities throughout the Safety Division with the mission of supporting the company’s business strategy by developing and managing all Manufacturing and Distributions activities, enabling and sustaining Holley’s competitive advantage.
The position is located in New Braunfels, Texas, with up to 30% travel requirement
Key Responsibilities:
- Development of Safety Manufacturing strategy and plans that align with organizational goals
- Oversee and participates in the recruitment, hiring, and training of manufacturing employees. Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
- Coordinates and oversees Safety Manufacturing processes with a primary focus on driving continuous improvement, reducing costs and improving the overall quality. Development of KPIs and metrics and review for improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Develop and manage budget(s)
- Foster a culture of accountability and excellence
- Ensures a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations, through collaboration with environmental, health, and safety staff
- Assists Sr VP of Operations with long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, and implementation of new and advanced technology
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in supply chain management, economics, finance, operations, engineering, business, accounting or manufacturing related field or equivalent experience preferred
- MBA a plus. At least 10 years related work experience
- Proven record of initiating and carrying out cost reduction/productivity improvement programs
- Working knowledge of finance and/or accounting in terms of budgeting, cost management, etc
- Experience with a P&L business unit or division management
- Strong analytical, and leadership skills
- Demonstrate strength working cross functionally to drive issue resolution
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in an environment with large volumes of data
