Overview:

The Senior Web Developer leads the design, coding, and modification of our enterprise website, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience. This role involves mentoring junior and mid-level developers and contributing to strategic decisions regarding web development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Mentorship:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior web developers.
  • Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Advanced Website Development:

  • Lead the design, coding, and modification of the company websites, ensuring it meets the company's specifications and quality standards.
  • Review, approve, and merge code changes from other developers to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Develop and maintain the website's architecture, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.
  • Implement responsive design principles to ensure the website functions seamlessly across various devices and browsers.
  • Content Management:

  •  Integrate and manage content using content management systems (CMS), Digital Asset Management, etc.
  •  Collaborate with product owners, product managers, and content creators to ensure the website is updated with fresh, relevant content by providing an intuitive system for making updates easily.
  • User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) Design:
  •  Collaborate effectively with designers to develop and integrate visually stunning and intuitive interfaces that enhance user satisfaction and engagement.
  • Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to improve the website's user experience.
  • Backend Development:

  • Develop server-side logic, manage database integration, and ensure high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front end.
  • Implement security measures to protect user data and prevent breaches.

  • SEO and Analytics:

  • Optimize the website for search engines (SEO) to improve visibility and traffic.
  • Implement and manage web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to monitor and analyze website performance.
  • Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with IT, marketing, and other departments to align website development with business objectives.
  • Provide technical support and training to internal stakeholders as needed.

 

  • Maintenance and Updates:
  • Regularly update and maintain the website to ensure it remains current and functional.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues in a timely manner.
  • Scaled Agile Methodology:

  • Participate in Agile practices and ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure continuous delivery and integration.
  • Contribute to the adoption and improvement of scaled Agile methodologies within the web development team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in web development, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including frameworks like React or Angular.
  • Experience with back-end technologies such as PHP, Python, or Node.js.
  • Strong knowledge of content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and web analytics tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Web Developer) are a plus.
  • Experience with Agile or scaled Agile methodologies is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team.
