What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reconciliation Specialist I position at Hollis Cobb Associates?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Extensive knowledge of inventory tracking and other methods of resolving accounts discrepancies
- Audit and investigate to identify discrepancies between accounts and resolve them
- Post payments in client systems
- Research payment and incoming correspondence documentation within company and client’s billing/payment systems
- Provide backup documentation as justification of bill adjustments and payment corrections
- Communicates any problem issues to a manager on an ongoing basis
- Remain compliant with Hollis Cobb policies and procedures as well as Federal and State guidelines
- Adhere to the production standards set for the department and client
- Accuracy and confidentiality in handling medical records in compliance with HIPAA, Federal, State and Company requirements
- Other duties as assigned by manager
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; college degree in Business Administration or Accounting preferred
- Previous experience in accounting or collections preferred
- Previous experience auditing spreadsheets preferred
- 1-2 years related experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
- Ability to type 25 plus WPM
- Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
- Good organizational skills with the ability to work independently
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to read and understand a variety of information presented in different formats from a variety of sources
- Ability to compute math calculations using addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
