About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Owner to join our Data Governance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our already implemented data catalog product, Atlan, which is connected to Snowflake and Power BI. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous improvement of the data catalog, enabling our organization to achieve its data governance objectives. This position reports to the Data Governance Manager and involves collaboration with Data Stewards to ensure business stakeholder needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Atlan data catalog product, ensuring it meets the needs of the organization and its users.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize product features and enhancements.
- Develop and maintain a product roadmap, aligning it with the overall data governance strategy.
- Work closely with engineering, data, and business teams to ensure the successful delivery of product features.
- Conduct user research and gather feedback to continuously improve the product.
- Provide training and support to users, ensuring they can effectively utilize the data catalog.
- Manage user provisioning and perform light configuration work to ensure the product is tailored to the organization's needs.
- Monitor product performance and usage, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data governance and data cataloging.
- Collaborate with Data Stewards to ensure business stakeholder needs are met.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of and experience with data catalog products, preferably Atlan.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in the data governance space.
- Experience with user provisioning and light configuration work.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and product management tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other Atlan data governance tool.
- Certification in Product Management or Agile methodologies.
- Experience working in a large, complex organization.
- Experience working in a mature data governance environment.
Salary : $57 - $75
