What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Manager position at Holly Adult Day Center?
Our goal is to have a qualified adult day “Activities Manager” to manage our day-to-day operations, while establishing and sustaining a positive environment for clients and staff. The Activities Manager will oversee the centers therapeutic activities, consistently engaging the clients in daily activities and special events. Responsibilities include developing, planning and implementing diversified, individualized, and group, therapeutic recreational programs for clients. With the goal of fulfilling basic psychological, social, physical, and spiritual needs. The Activities Manager reports directly to the Center Director, they will work closely together to provide the highest quality of care to the clients. The Activities Manager should display a friendly demeanor and strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment for both clients and staff. The Activates Manager should have strong leadership skills, experience with dementia and or persons with disabilities.
Qualifications
· A bachelor’s degree plus one year of experience (full-time or equivalent) in developing and conducting activities for persons with dementia or disabilities.
· Prior experience working with persons with dementia or disabilities.
· Able to work flexible hours
· Ability to build and lead a high-performance effective team that constantly accomplishes or surpasses defined goals and objectives.
· Effective comprehension of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook and an ability to navigate various operating systems including but not limited to payroll and Carecenta.
· Strong collaborative, interpersonal, organization and multitasking skills.
· Successful results of background check and any additional state specific regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities
· Develops, plans, organizes, and implements appropriate programming for each client, personalized programing for individuals with varying interests and needs.
· Create and distributes a monthly calendar of organized actives and lunch menu, according to state regulations.
- Maintain the inventory of equipment and supplies and purchase new equipment and supplies.
- Manage monthly budget.
· Oversee and supervise all areas of the employee experience including onboarding, daily oversight and guidance, scheduling, coaching and mentoring, staff meetings, continuing education, performance reviews and effective management of employee relation issues; establish and maintain a culture of respect, teamwork, compassion, fun, integrity and professionalism.
· Oversees Volunteers.
· Provide supervision and assistance in activities of daily living, such as feeding and toileting.
· Comply with Title III, CACFP, and Medicaid programs.
· Comply with company policies procedures, safety and regulatory laws and standards.
· Other duties and responsibilities as changed or assigned at any time.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
