Job Title: Lead Adolescent Treatment Worker
Location: California Kentucky
Schedule: 3 Weekday shifts plus weekend coverage (On Call Rotation)
About The Role:
Responsible to the Cottage Supervisor and the Operations Manager. Team Leads are accountable for the overall supervision of the cottage and the residents. Promotes and maintains a cottage environment that is safe, therapeutic and conducive to the healthy growth and development of the residents in care.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe, therapeutic milieu by maintaining an active presence, providing support, role modeling, coaching, supervision, and guidance.
- Foster team development by overseeing and maintaining staff cohesiveness and functioning through appropriate implementation of the orientation and continued team development.
- Ensure that adequate staff ratios are maintained to meet the needs of all clients by appropriately filling in for shift(s) as needed.
- Monitor and ensure staff is providing continuous supervision of clients by providing face-to-face contact and support.
- Participate in meetings for the development and on-going review of treatment plans and phase progression.
- Provide support to co-workers in all areas of residential care as needed.
- Ensure that staff interactions and evidenced based interventions with clients are professional and promote recovery
- Enforce rules, policies, and regulations of the therapeutic milieu.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Good leadership, management and organizational skills.
- Must display a high degree of emotional maturity while keeping difficult situations in proper perspective.
- Knowledge of organizational payroll system (time cards and ability to assist staff).
- Effective communication skills and ability to function as a team member as well as the ability to understand the needs of adolescents.
- Must be able to handle crisis as they arise.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure.
- Must be able to maintain professional boundaries while building therapeutic relationships.
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age
- Current and valid auto insurance, drivers license and reliable transportation.
- Minimum of at least two (2) years of college or a high school diploma/GED.
- Minimum of 1 year experience work experience with vulnerable, at-risk youth.
