We are currently hiring for: Sales Support / Accounting Clerk - This is an in-person role located in Hattiesburg, MS.
The Sales Support / Accounting Clerk is the interface between sales and accounting, providing general administrative support to facilitate timely execution of customer invoicing and supplier payment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist sales staff with data entry and management of accounts.
- Create and maintain purchase orders.
- Obtain bills of ladings from vendors.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing or payment issues.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for vendor and customer accounts and transactions.
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and reporting.
- Provide support for audits and financial analysis as needed.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to streamline trading activities.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related experience preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable /payable or related finance roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills!
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt.
- Candidate must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug and background screen.
