What are the responsibilities and job description for the CARE Counselor position at Holly Springs?
Holly Springs Parks and Recreation is recruiting for the C.A.R.E. Counselor position. Counselors will supervise elementary and/or middle school students in the C.A.R.E. programs including Before School, After School and Track Out C.A.R.E.
The C.A.R.E. program operates during the school year (August through June) from 7:30am to 6:00pm. We are seeking individuals that can work 7:30am-12:30pm M-F. Counselors will work 20-25 hours per week.
Multiple openings available. This position is temporary/part time and does not qualify for benefits.
Hiring range: $12-$14 per hr.Responsibilities Include:
• Supervising school age children to provide a safe and supportive environment.
• Implementing recreational enrichment activities and facilitating positive relationships with participants and peers.
• Transporting children to/from school and offsite trips, driving non CDL passenger vans or buses.
• Implementing program rules and behavior management policies in a positive manner.
• Other program support duties as assigned.
Experience
Seeking candidates with High School Diploma/GED and previous experience working with children or teens and planning recreation activities.
Be comfortable driving a 15-passenger van
Have clean driving record
Preferred candidates 18 years or older.
