Summary:

This position supports two distinct functions within IT and EDI.  IT support responsibilities include Tier One technical support and asset management.  Duties will include phone and email support of hardware and software, including collaboration with Holman's Managed Service Provider (MSP) to maximize internal and external customer service, productivity, continuity, and security.  Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) responsibilities include the support of processes and systems designed to manage data interchange, including client onboarding, mapping, and maintenance of new and existing client transaction sets.  Duties include phone and email support, interchange testing, and regular collaboration with various internal and external customers to ensure uninterrupted data transfer services using multiple platforms.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Identifies, analyzes, and assists in resolving workflow process problems.
  • Assists management in identifying opportunities for process improvement within the department. 
  • Works collaboratively with the various departments to align IT strategy with current business needs and future objectives.
  • Reports all security, privacy and procedure breaches to Executive Management immediately.
  • Administers support requests via phone, email, and ticketing systems. 
  • Administers user onboarding/offboarding to include licensing and credentials.
  • Provides Tier One tech support to end users, including addressing hardware, software, and network-related inquiries promptly and efficiently. 
  • Works to troubleshoot and resolve IT issues ensuring minimal disruption to business operations; escalate tasks as required.
  • Analyze and run diagnostics testing to resolve any reported issues.
  • Procures hardware and deploys new equipment.  Assists in the coordination of acquiring computer software, telephone and other technology systems. 
  • Assists in setting up and configuring physical workstations, printers, mobile devices, and other equipment for Team Members. 
  • Creates, follows, maintains, and updates as necessary documentation and checklists to ensure efficiency and consistency.  
  • Communicates with associates across the organization, management specialists, technical personnel and/or vendors to assist with problem-solving and to ensure that technology needs are met for the streamlined success of projects and daily operations.
  • Assists in EDI implementation with new clients, ensuring smooth and efficient data interchange between the client and organization.
  • Assists with configuration and testing of EDI mapping between various systems and platforms. 
  • Provides support to internal and external customers.  Troubleshoots and resolves issues ensuring minimal disruption to business operations; escalates tasks as needed.
  • Oversees daily EDI processes; Reviews processes consistently to identify opportunities for improvement.

Skills & Abilities:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.  
  • Some higher-level education or IT certifications preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years relevant work experience, in IT/EDI.

Essential Skills:

  • Knowledge of general PC maintenance with the ability to evaluate, diagnose, and correct software/hardware problems, required.
  • Efficient with Windows operating systems and MS Office is required.
  • Understanding of O365, server, and network infrastructure, including; Active Directory, O365 administration, Windows 10/11 administration, printer troubleshooting, basic understanding of routing and IP troubleshooting, and a basic understanding of DNS.
  • Previous experience with EDI, training, otherwise provided.
  • Previous experience with Dell Boomi, training otherwise provided. 
  • Experience with REST Web Services/API calls is a bonus.
