We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing team. This role will initially be heavily focused on managing and improving our Accounts Receivable (AR) process, with the opportunity to build and lead an AR team as the company scales. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for contributing to a fast-paced startup environment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

- Manage the full accounting cycle, including AR, AP, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes.
- Develop and implement efficient accounting processes and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze key financial metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Prepare and present regular financial reports to management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and accounting standards.
- Potential to build and lead a high-performing accounting team, including hiring, training, and mentoring junior staff.
- Delegate tasks effectively and provide guidance and support to team members.
- Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Continuously evaluate and improve team processes and workflows.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- CPA certification preferred.
- 3-6 years of experience in accounting, with exposure to various accounting functions.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (advanced skills preferred).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
- Experience in healthcare or revenue cycle management is a plus, but not required.
