- Five to eight years of technical work-related skill, knowledge, or experience required
- High school/equivalent diploma or trade school diploma preferred
- Advanced knowledge of generators, power distribution, A/C, Heater, and Shoring; possesses an understanding of diesel equipment, generators, and air compressors
- Experience with and comprehension of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Variable Speed Drive (VSDs), soft starts, and “across the line” motor starting preferred
- Ability to conduct Factory diesel, generator, compressor, and HVAC training
- Able to read and understand electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic flow schematics with ability to produce hand drafted schematic modifications
- Advanced technical knowledge of propane/natural gas appliances, equipment, and plant operations
- Advanced knowledge of equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
- Knowledge and proficiency with current computer software, related hardware, and machine electronic systems
- Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
- Provides detailed technical knowledge or advice and consultation to the Operations teams on the technical capabilities of rental equipment to support rental solutions to end customers including during jobsite walks or directly to end.
- Reviews, tracks, and coordinates technical projects through all phases to completion, ensuring that quality standards, customer satisfaction and company profitability are maintained.
- Supports operations branches with on-the-job training or instruction to further technical competence and development of local technicians; Acts as a subject matter expert to provide technical advice for specialty rental equipment to support the continuous growth and success of the specialty rental business operations team.
- Communicates project status and reports key operational metrics to management; develop solutions to address issues if target metrics are not being met.
- Builds a cohesive relationship with all internal Service, Product Support, and Fleet stakeholders (Holt, Texas First, Vendors)
- Performs product improvement updates as needed
- Develops, evaluates, and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS)
- Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.

- This position provides support and oversight for rental solution projects which may include guidance and direction of other employees as it relates to a specific project or deliverables. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and development; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Up to 60% travel, to include overnight
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must be able to move objects, and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
- Frequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
- Ascend/descend with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both hands and feet and climb up and down ladders
- Be able to safely maneuver and work underneath equipment
- Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work
- Regularly works indoors around moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to weather extremes when working outside in conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity
- Noise level may be loud at times
- Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, steam, high-pressure water, and high- speed rotating equipment
- Significant time spent in confined spaces and high places
