HOLT Truck Centers in Oklahoma City is looking for a full time Used Truck Sales team member. A Sales Account Manager is responsible responsible for promoting Used Trucks to existing customer base while expanding market share to meet territorial and corporate objectives. Develops assigned territory, implements territorial sales plans to grow business, and maintains current customer base. Influences and grow sales with new business opportunities within assigned market area/territory. Continually collaborates with Sales Manager to fulfill business plan.
The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.
Essential Functions:
- Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.
- Responsible for the sales and marketing of Used Trucks into the construction, commercial and aggregate industries
- Provides coverage and support of existing customer base
- Develops new business markets and opportunities
- Prepares and presents sales contracts and finance purchase options
- Prepares territory and call plans, sales reports, expense, and sales activity reports
- Develops new accounts and maintains accounts currently assigned
- Formulates bids on new and existing jobs and projects
- Identifies and acquires new market opportunities
- Receives customer orders and serves as the customer contact point
- Collaborates with other departments to generate sales leads
- Assists in familiarizing customer on equipment
- Aids in implementing, sustaining, and developing quality improvement processes that focus on safety, financials, operations, and customer service
- Maintains records of sales or other business transactions
- Prepare sales or other contracts
- Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
- Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Understands written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents, and communicates effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
- Excellent oral and written communication skill to include formal presentation skills before small and large groups
- The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Physical ability to respond to an emergency
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent with some college coursework or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred; Bachelor of Business Administration focused on Marketing or Management preferred
- Minimum of one to three years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required; Three to five years of experience preferred
- One year of sales or customer support experience required
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Travel:
- Extensive day travel driving required; occasional overnight travel.
- Valid driver’s license required
Physical Requirements:
- This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.
- This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
- This position requires frequent standing and walking, and occasional kneeling, crouching, stooping, balancing, and reaching associated with the movement, set up and tear down of rental equipment.
- Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support without fatigue. Occasionally moves materials or equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.
Work Environment:
- This job is generally performed in a retail and office environment; exposure to computer screens
- Exposure to noise, dust, grease, fumes, gases, heat, cold, and inclement weather conditions
- May be exposed to weather extremes when working outside or traveling in conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity
- Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruption
