Job Summary :
The Senior Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for managing and processing incoming payments, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions in compliance with company policies. Acts as the subject matter expert while working independently. This role involves facilitating the payment of invoices, resolving disputes, and maintaining effective communication with customers and internal teams. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will also support credit application processes and collaborate with legal representatives on collections as needed.
The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis : 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal / external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.
Essential Functions :
- Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.
- Performs day to day financial transactions, including the processing of daily incoming payments via checks, credit cards, ACH, monthly wires in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Facilitates payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting customers.
- Schedules monthly AR meetings with Idealease Director, Controller, location General Managers.
- Works with customer and employee contacts to resolve any disputes on invoices.
- Ensures Customer Credit Applications are completed accurately and completely.
- Provides D&B reports to director for approval and sets up customers in IBS once approved.
- Sends out payment demand letters to customers as directed.
- Works with attorney on accounts that are turned over to them for help with collections as directed.
- Works independently with minimal supervision required.
- Acts as the Accounts Receivable subject matter expert.
- Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
