We are seeking an experienced Senior Service Plumber who will transition into a Plumbing Manager role. The ideal candidate will begin by running their own service calls and, after demonstrating strong technical abilities and leadership qualities, will move into a management position overseeing the plumbing department in Dubuque.

Responsibilities: 

• Start as a Service Plumber: Run your own service calls, providing diagnosis, repairs, and installations of residential and commercial plumbing systems.
• Plumbing System Maintenance & Repair: Troubleshoot, repair, and replace plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, water heaters, drains, and sewer lines.
• Install & Maintain Plumbing Systems: Install, replace, and maintain plumbing systems and equipment in residential and commercial settings.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including parts used, job details, and any recommendations for future service.
• Transition into a Supervisory Role: After successfully demonstrating technical proficiency and leadership, you will transition into a Plumbing Manager role. In this capacity, you will:
  • Oversee the plumbing department in Dubuque, supervising a team of plumbers and technicians.
  • Ensure quality control and that work is performed in compliance with local building codes and safety regulations.
  • Train and mentor junior plumbing technicians, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
  • Manage the scheduling and dispatching of plumbing services, optimizing workflows for efficiency.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and inventory management for the plumbing department.
  • Provide leadership in the field, ensuring high standards of customer service and craftsmanship.

Requirements:

• Journeyman or Master Plumber certification (strongly preferred) and all relevant licenses and certifications required in Dubuque, IA.
• Minimum of 5 years of plumbing experience, with significant experience in service, repair, and installations.
• Leadership experience or potential for leadership, with a focus on developing others and overseeing teams.
• Ability to problem-solve, troubleshoot, and diagnose complex plumbing issues.
• Strong knowledge of local plumbing codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
• Exceptional customer service skills, ensuring a positive experience for every client.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
• Ability to work independently, taking initiative to ensure work is completed efficiently.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
