What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Assistant - Part Time position at Holtger Bros. Inc.?
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible to clean & sweep within the building, wash vehicles & equipment, perform grounds maintenance and run errands for the shop. Available during shop working hours Monday - Saturday.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
A) Clean vehicles and equipment inside and out.
B) Clean shop area including sweeping.
C) Pick up parts as needed.
D) Clean parts.
E) Fuel vehicles and equipment.
F) Load and unload vehicles as needed.
G) Drive forklift.
H) Perform general shop clean-up and trash removal.
I) Perform grounds maintenance including mowing/trimming, snow removal.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A) Must be energetic, motivated, ambitious, and hard-working.
B) Must have insurance acceptable, valid drivers license.
C) Attendance and punctuality is critical.
D) Must be 18 years or older.
REQUIRED ABILITIES:
A) Must be able to work alone and complete tasks given in a timely fashion.
B) Must be able to follow oral and written directions.
C) Must have good attention to detail.
D) Must be able to read.
E) Must be competent and able to understand the responsibilities of the position.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS OF THE WORKPLACE:
A) May be exposed to volatile organic compounds such as paint spray and cleaning solutions.
B) May be exposed to confined spaces.
C) May be exposed to outdoor work in all weather conditions.
D) Exposure to loud noise.
E) Work indoors in an uncontrolled temperature environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
A) Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
A) Perform other tasks as assigned
