Position Summary : The Holton-Arms School Fine and Performing Arts Department and Arts AdjunctProgram seek a collaborative, flexible, and enthusiastic Part-Time Adjunct Instrumental Teacher with expertise in woodwind, brass, or percussioninstruments. This position involves working closely with students across a range of skilllevels and ages. The successful candidate will provide private instruction through theArts Adjunct Program, lead instrument sectionals after school with the band program,and / or teach with the Band Director during school-day classes. Candidates will be ableto prepare students for recitals, auditions, and community performances and create asupportive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment. Holton-Arms offers a robust performing arts program where students are encouraged todevelop their artistic voices by refining their musical skills, techniques, andmusicianship. The ideal candidate will provide differentiated instruction to meet theneeds of students with a range of skill sets and experience. All aspects of Holton-Arms programming help develop students' competencies aroundDiversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, Social Emotional Learning, and GlobalEducation. These are integral to the Arts program, and qualified candidates will beprepared to continue and expand upon our work in these areas. Qualifications :
- 3 to 5 years of relevant teaching experience.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in music performance or music education (Master's degree
- preferred).
- Experience teaching and working with students of all ages.
- Expertise in woodwind, brass, or percussion instruction.
- Passionate about working in a single-gender educational environment.
- Committed to creating a student-centered experience.
- Prepares students for recitals, auditions, and other community performances
- Creative and innovative teaching artists with a sense of humor and strong
- communication skills.
This part-time opportunity has a salary range of $80-$85 per hour. Part-time benefits includelunch provided on school days. Other benefits are not available.
