Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in health administration or a related field.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting or customer service role.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and their families upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment.
- Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information accurately and efficiently. Primary registration location is hospital outpatient services. Will occasionally assist in the Family Medicine Clinic and Emergency Department.
- Input patient data into the hospital's electronic health record system, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Assist patients with any questions or concerns regarding their registration and insurance processes.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely and accurate patient flow within the hospital.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
