Job Summary:
Holy Angels is looking for a entry to mid level Accountant with an Accounting Degree. This position involves working with a 6-member accounting team. The organization is a Medicaid Long-term Care facility and knowledge of Medicaid and Social Security regulations is very helpful. Duties include but are not limited to daily recording of bank deposits and weekly remittance advice posting, AR review, Medicaid Waiver billing, approving medical bills, Representative Payee Reporting, and Patient Liability adjustments. Monthly duties include creating Medicaid invoices, bank reconciliations, Provider Fee schedules, Census spreadsheets, insurance billing reconciliations, DOTD reporting, reconciling petty cash accounts, monitoring vehicle books and filing. Assist with annual Cost Reporting.
Specific Skills and Responsibilities
- QuickBooks
- Knowledge of Medicaid regulations
- Knowledge of Social Security regulations
- Varies duties not involving Accounts Receivable
Qualifications:
- Must have working knowledge of QuickBooks
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel
- Must have working knowledge of accounting policies and procedures
Education/Experience:
- Accounting Degree
- 5 years accounting experience
- Prior experience working within a Medicaid facility is extremely helpful
- Prior experience working with Social Security extremely helpful
Work Environment:
- Must be able to work with individuals with developmental disabilities
Physical Demands:
- Walk, stand, sit, push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, use hands and lift up to 50lbs, 2/3’s of the time
