Position Purpose:
The Emergency Department RN works in a collaborative environment at Holy Cross Health to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidence-based medicine and individualized patient care. The licensed Registered Nurse (RN) plans & provides professional nursing services & standards of practice in accordance with level of experience & education, state board of nursing & established policies & procedures. The RN integrates the art, science, leadership & knowledge of the nursing clinical practice through relationship-centered, compassionate, ethical & respectful direct / indirect healthcare services. The employee supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital
What You Will Do
Minimum Of One Year Of RN Experience Required.
Demonstration of acceptable performance in administering medications according to Holy Cross Hospital’s standards within the probationary period.
Basic computer skills to include data entry and retrieval.
Reads, writes, speaks and comprehends English language.
Must have visual and auditory acuity.
Must have the ability to coordinate eyes and hands quickly and accurately.
Reporting to: Manager or Assistant Manager of the Emergency Department

Pay is based on experience, skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.

What You Will Do
- Employment Type/Shift: Full Time, Rotating Shift
- Using Quality Caring Model, demonstrates acceptable performance, and applies nursing process, to plan and manage care of routine patients, including patient and family education, and continuum of care planning.
- Effectively communicates fundamental patient/family information to health care team.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program ADN required; BSN preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State.
