POSITION PURPOSE

The Director of Development position is responsible for overseeing Taos Health Systems, Inc. (THS) fundraising and manages relationships with corporate partners, community stakeholders, public and private grant-making entities and donors. The position plans fundraising campaigns and events, interacts with donors to encourage ongoing contributions and seeks out opportunities for financial support through grants and sponsorships. The position will work closely with organization leadership to determine priorities and with marketing professionals to target potential supporters, manage campaigns and host events that raise awareness of THS goals (“friend-raisers”).

 

MINIMUM MANDATORY qualifications

 

Experience:

 

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in development programs (business management, social sciences, financial management, communication and education, nonprofit management, fundraising or similar field(s) required.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (business management, social sciences, human resources, communication and education, financial management, nonprofit management or fundraising) or similar field.

Mandatory Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications:

  • Strong management or leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills
  • Project management skills
  • Knowledge of grant writing and various Donor and Grant Management platforms
  • Event planning capabilities
