We’re seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee and elevate our financial operations.
Who We’re Hiring:
- Position: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
- Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
- Location: Holy Spirit Retirement Home, serving our Retirement Home and Foundation.
Primary Purpose:
The CFO is responsible for overseeing the financial accounting activities of Holy Spirit Retirement Home and Foundation. This includes managing accounting practices, treasury functions, internal controls, audit preparation, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage treasury, accounting, and budgeting functions for the Retirement Home and Foundation.
- Oversee accounts receivable and payable, including billing and collections for resident accounts.
- Prepare workpapers for annual audits and direct finance office staff to maintain proper records and accounting controls.
- Supervise payroll and employee benefits processing, ensuring compliance with federal and state reporting requirements.
- Establish purchasing procedures to maintain adequate internal controls.
- Issue monthly and quarterly financial statements and prepare annual budgets for board review.
- Assist with annual cost reports, 990s, and coordination of Foundation contributions.
- Provide financial expertise and support for special projects, routine resident and family meetings, and other organizational needs.
What We’re Looking For:
We seek a motivated and skilled financial professional with:
- A four-year degree in accounting (required) and 5-7 years of accounting experience (preferably in a medical environment).
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, payroll processing, internal auditing, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Experience in team supervision, public financial presentations, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- A commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and superior customer service.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to attend occasional evening or weekend meetings.
