Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Safety Director to lead our safety initiatives and ensure a safe working environment across all our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety management and a passion for promoting a culture of safety within the organization.​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Safety Policies: Create, update, and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations.
  • Conduct Safety Training: Organize and lead training sessions to educate employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Perform Site Inspections: Regularly inspect construction sites to identify potential hazards, ensure compliance with safety standards, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Accident Investigation: Lead investigations into any workplace accidents or near-misses, determine root causes, and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on federal, state, and local safety regulations to ensure company-wide compliance. ​
  • Safety Reporting: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions; prepare reports for management review. ​

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role within the construction industry.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as OSHA 30 or 500, First Aid/CPR training, and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) are preferred.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of OSHA guidelines and construction safety practices. ​
  • Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills; ability to effectively train and mentor staff on safety practices. ​Betterteam

Salary is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
