We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Safety Director to lead our safety initiatives and ensure a safe working environment across all our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety management and a passion for promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Safety Policies: Create, update, and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations.
- Conduct Safety Training: Organize and lead training sessions to educate employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and safe work practices.
- Perform Site Inspections: Regularly inspect construction sites to identify potential hazards, ensure compliance with safety standards, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Accident Investigation: Lead investigations into any workplace accidents or near-misses, determine root causes, and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on federal, state, and local safety regulations to ensure company-wide compliance.
- Safety Reporting: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions; prepare reports for management review.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role within the construction industry.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as OSHA 30 or 500, First Aid/CPR training, and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) are preferred.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of OSHA guidelines and construction safety practices.
