School Counselor - Head Start
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team using evidence-based promotion, prevention, and intervention strategies to foster the growth of children with developmental, behavioral, and/or social-emotional concerns. Collaborate with local mental health agencies to facilitate appropriate and effective referrals across multiple systems. Provide support groups and training to parents and teaching staff.
No productivity or third-party billing is required.
Education and Licensure Requirements
- Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field required.
- License required within 6 months of hire. (LMHC, LCSW, LICSW )
Experience Requirements
- Must have professional experience delivering mental health services to children age birth through five and those who care for them within a natural setting.

- Bilingual preferred.

- Strong written and verbal skills; a pervasive and passion commitment with excellent interpersonal and multi-disciplinary project skills

- Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 119, Section 51A, the Early Childhood Clinician is a mandated reporter and held to the statutory reporting requirements.
Schedule: 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Starting Pay: $31.13 per hour
