We are seeking a skilled and certified Powersports Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Powersports Technician at Holzhauer Pro Motorsports, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continued performance and reliability of our customers' motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, Personal Watercraft, and other Powersports units. From routine maintenance to complex repairs, you will utilize your expertise to diagnose issues, perform necessary repairs, and deliver exceptional service that exceeds our customers' expectations.
Responsibilities: Conduct thorough inspections of Powersports vehicles to identify and diagnose mechanical issues. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire replacements, and fluid checks. Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues, including engine problems, brake malfunctions, and transmission issues. Utilize diagnostic equipment and tools to troubleshoot complex problems efficiently. Complete repairs and service orders promptly while maintaining high standards of quality. Keep accurate records of all services performed and parts used. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a certified Powersports Technician program. Provide your own tools. Proven experience as a Powersports Technician, with a strong understanding of motorcycle, ATV, and UTV mechanics. Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license. Diagnose and repair a wide variety of new and used Motorsports units including ATV, UTV, PWC, Motorcycles, etc Conduct test-drives to verify concerns and/or repairs to the vehicles. Complete service and repair assignments correctly, efficiently and safely. Communicate directly with the service manager regarding the status of the service work. Continuously learn new technical information and techniques. Comply with company safety policies and procedures. Any other duties as needed by manager discretion. Must be Punctual and have good organizational skills. Must be team-oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service. Must have a working knowledge of shop equipment (such as scan tools, tire equipment, diagnostic equipment, etc.). Must supply personally owned tools in good working order (specialty tools are provided by the shop). Should have knowledge of 2 and 4-stroke scooter and motorcycle engines. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Possible frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds or more. Must have a Motorcycle “M” License (or be willing to obtain one upon hiring). Preferred Qualifications: Manufacturer-specific certifications (e.g., Can-Am, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Polaris, Kayo, Mahindra, etc.). Experience working with a variety of powersports brands and models. Familiarity with dealership operations and procedures.
