Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly organized Vacation Rental Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our short-term rental properties. This role involves managing cleaning teams, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring the overall readiness of all properties to meet the highest standards of guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership
- Manage the daily operations of cleaning, maintenance, and property readiness for all STR units.
- Develop and enforce operational procedures to maintain consistency and efficiency.
- Lead and supervise cleaning teams and maintenance staff, ensuring alignment with company standards.
2. Property Readiness
- Oversee the preparation of properties for guest check-ins, ensuring all areas are clean, functional, and staged as per guidelines.
- Conduct final inspections of properties to ensure they meet cleanliness, safety, and guest-ready standards.
- Coordinate with property owners or managers to address specific property needs or upgrades.
3. Team Management
- Hire, train, and supervise cleaning and maintenance teams.
- Schedule staff to accommodate guest turnovers and ensure sufficient coverage.
- Provide ongoing feedback, performance evaluations, and support to team members.
4. Maintenance Coordination
- Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and address urgent repair needs.
- Liaise with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or services.
- Ensure all properties are compliant with local safety codes and regulations.
5. Inventory and Supply Management
- Monitor and manage inventory for cleaning supplies, toiletries, and maintenance materials.
- Ensure timely restocking and cost-efficient purchasing practices.
- Track equipment usage and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
6. Guest Experience and Quality Control
- Collaborate with guest services to address any operational issues impacting guest stays.
- Respond to and resolve guest complaints related to property readiness or maintenance.
- Continuously review and improve operational practices to enhance guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in operations management, hospitality, or property management, preferably in STR or vacation rentals.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of cleaning standards, property maintenance, and safety compliance.
- Proficiency in operational software and tools for scheduling and task tracking.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Schedule
- Must be available for a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and on-call hours to address guest or property emergencies.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $53,195.00 - $57,037.00 per year
