Position Purpose:
The Director of National Accounts oversees the management of key, large-scale accounts, focusing on building and maintaining strong relationships, driving sales, and achieving revenue targets. The Director leads a team of National Account Managers that are focused on driving significant growth through the residential property management vertical. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing and mentoring a high-performance sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develops and execute sales plan to drive revenue and profit growth within named accounts.
- Relationship Building: Builds and maintains strong, strategic relationships with key decision-makers within national accounts.
- Leadership: Coach, develop and inspire the team of account managers to thrive in a best-in-class environment. Ability to acquire and develop talent is critical.
- Development: Responsible for the performance and professional development of team members. Acts as a coach/mentor and lead by example to facilitate the achievement of individual/team growth objectives.
- Opportunity Identification: works with the national account managers to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within existing and potential national accounts.
- Contract Negotiation: Works on contract proposals for both existing and new clients.
- Reporting and Analysis: Produces sales/business reports and internal summary reports, and reports on sales, retention, revenue, and forecasting.
- Teamwork & Collaboration: Orchestrates team resources to meet customer and business needs, fostering teamwork and accountability.
- Compliance: Ensures compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
- Problem Solving: Analyzes complex situations and develops solutions to address challenges.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- Typically reports to Senior Director, National Accounts
- This Position has 6-8 Direct Reports
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel 25% to 50% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

- Proven track record of success in managing large, complex national accounts within the building materials industry
- Strong understanding of the building materials market, customer needs, and competitive landscape
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
- Experience coaching and developing direct reports
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with senior executives
- Strategic thinking and ability to develop and execute comprehensive sales plans
- Leadership experience in managing and motivating a sales team
- Proficiency in salesforce automation tools and data analysis
