What are the responsibilities and job description for the Window Treatment Sales Associate position at Home+Floor Show?
We are seeking a talented Sales and Design consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead clients through a design consultation to assist them in selecting and purchasing blinds, shades, drapes, etc. and be able to accurately measure all types of window treatments. This role requires a passion for design and exceptional customer service.
PRIMARY DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with customers to determine design preferences, budget and other requirements.
Actively sell products by engaging the customer in selecting and curating items for their home while promoting all products offered throughout the store.
Develop and maintain a professional level of product knowledge, including features and benefits, warranties, and care and maintenance of products.
Expand product knowledge by following current design trends, understanding fabric styles and performance qualities, and other finishing design techniques.
Accurately measure window casings and walls where window treatments will be displayed.
Place orders for sold products and review all orders for accuracy.
Create an ongoing prospect list to follow up with customers who display an eagerness to buy.
Write up sales orders, including obtaining correct customer information and pricing products appropriately based on current price lists.
Date entry of product orders into management system.
Follow internal policies and procedures for sales orders, service requests, sample checkouts, customer delivery and pickup, payment, etc.
Accurately convey store promotion and financing options to customers.
Update manufacturer materials, including print catalogs and brochures, and fabric and wood displays.
Maintain a clean and orderly showroom. This includes dusting, straightening, merchandising, tagging products, and identifying and reporting any product defects to the Service Department
Other duties as assigned.

Works well with other sales associates and assists others’ customers when necessary.
Ethical and honest at all times; adheres to store policies.
Strong computer skills; knows Microsoft Office and can easily learn new systems.
Interior Design background advantageous.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
