Home Forward is seeking a Rent Assistance Specialist to support our Short Term Rental Assistance team. The Rent Assistance Specialist is responsible for assisting individuals and families in need of housing support by evaluating eligibility, providing information and guidance, and facilitating the application process for rent assistance programs. This role aims to help participants secure affordable and stable housing.
This position is represented by AFSCME Local 3135 and the posting will close Sunday, February 23, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.
Compensation starts at $32.51 per hour.

Education & Experience Guidelines
Three (3) years of increasingly responsible social work or social services experience with an emphasis on direct client work with individuals/families, case coordination, and program development. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in social work, social services, or a related field preferred. A related degree may substitute for partial work experience requirement.
