Intake Specialist/Coordinator
Home Health Care Network – Houston, TX
The Patient Intake Specialist is responsible for overseeing the intake process for all referrals. Their duties include, experience with insurance verification and intake process, appeals preferred, but not required.
The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, completely comfortable spreadsheets, basic intake process. Previous experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate that possesses at least a basic understanding of the intake process. This position requires maximum productivity, time management and compliance with all state and federal regulations along with the organization's policies.
Required Skills:
- Strong customer service and organizational skills
- Searching each financial statement EOB/EOP for any payment inconsistencies or errors
- Responsible for claim denial research, re-submissions and appeals
- Requires ability to type 50 WPM
- Knowledge of Word, Windows and Kinnser/WellSky software
- Requires attention to detail
- Requires ability to read, write, process information, communicate accurately to others and establish priorities
- Requires knowledge of home care law and regulation
- Responsible for receiving and processing new patients' information and setting up admissions
- Insurance verification
