Compassionate Caregiver

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide essential support to individuals in various care settings, including long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while respecting their rights and dignity. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for residents and clients, particularly those with memory care needs.

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide support in medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of residents by monitoring their physical and emotional well-being.
• Facilitate social interactions and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation.
• Uphold resident rights by maintaining confidentiality and promoting independence.
• Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
• Support individuals with memory care needs through patience and understanding.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment in personal care homes or group homes.
• Document client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• Previous experience in long-term care, home care, or assisted living settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of resident rights and the importance of dignity in personal care.
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols is a plus.
• Understanding of memory care principles and techniques for supporting individuals with cognitive impairments.
• Ability to provide direct support while fostering independence among clients.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
