What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Manager/Home Improvement Company position at Home Improvement/Construction Company?
Well established family-owned Glass & Home Improvement Company in business for 60 years seeking an experienced General Manager/Construction Estimator with extensive knowledge of all areas of construction.
Exterior specialties include decks, small additions, sunroom, roofs, windows, gutters, and siding. Interior specialties include kitchen and bathroom remodels, basements, flooring, and all interior remodeling.
As a construction estimator, you will receive approximately 10 plus leads per week and be expected to meet with homeowners, provide estimates, and close sales. Please keep in mind that we have a great customer base & a majority of our work is in the local area of Plymouth, MA.
Qualifications:
· At least 3 years of sales experience in construction.
· Experience with Overseeing the entire company in Senior Management roll, which will include working with office staff and overseeing the daily scheduling, proof orders, and contribute ideas to marketing strategies & social media.
· Experience with Glass measures for installation, which includes Shower doors, insulated units, residential/commercial doors & windows, etc.
· Strong negotiation skills.
· Able to build and maintain relationships with established and new customers.
· Must have a tenacious drive to sell and the ability to problem-solve.
· Strong mathematics and computer skills are essential.
· Strong organizational skills and sales tracking abilities
· Ability to read blueprints.
· Ability to measure sunrooms, decks, windows, doors, basements etc.
· Proven track record for producing results.
· Professional appearance and demeanor.
· Must be up to date on current code requirements.
· Must be able to put together detailed stock lists.
· Must have great knowledge of vinyl siding, windows, doors, carpentry, and construction.

Duties:
· Manage Office and make sure employees are set for jobs in the morning before they leave for the day.
· Receive leads and pre-set appointments from company-provided sources.
· Visit customers to listen to concerns and provide a solution and estimate for our services.
· Write contracts based upon price quotes provided by vendors.
· Collect the signed contract, deposit, and necessary paperwork for us to begin the job.
· Attend daily/weekly meetings with project manager and staff to update on projects.
