The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of our billing cycle, from generating invoices to collecting outstanding payments. This role requires strong communication skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in accounting software.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and distribute accurate invoices to customers
- Assist with insurance verification
- Send timely payment reminders via various communication channels
- Post payments and reconcile accounts
- Investigate and resolve billing disputes and discrepancies
- Respond to client/customer inquiries regarding invoices and account status
- Generate routine accounts receivable reports, including aging reports
- Perform routine collection activities, including contacting customers with overdue accounts
- Maintain accurate records of all billing and collection activities
- May be required to perform special projects as directed by the supervisor
- Assist with general billing activities and other ad hoc tasks
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 2-3 years of accounting experience
- Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise
- Experience with WellSky
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas and data manipulation).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Proven ability to resolve customer issues and maintain positive relationships.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
