Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate in-home caregiver to provide essential support to local seniors in need of assistance with various daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, light housekeeping, cooking, and especially companionship! This position requires a deep understanding of senior care practices and the ability to develop meaningful relationships with clients.
Essential Requirements
- All applicants must have a valid driver's license, active car insurance, and a reliable vehicle as this job does require driving the clients for errands/appointments. The travel expectation is that you will drive to a client as far west as Rochelle, south to Somonauk, east to Route 47 Elburn/Maple Park, and north to Pingree Grove.

Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. *You must be comfortable assisting clients of any gender with personal care.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring their comfort and security. This includes day to day housekeeping tasks sch as sweeping, dusting, mopping, washing the dishes, making the bed, completing laundry, etc.
- Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to the office.
- Engage clients in social activities to keep them engaged throughout the shift.
- Assist with transportation needs for appointments or social outings as required.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records of client progress.
Skills
- Experience in dementia care and personal care in the home setting is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in cooking nutritious meals suitable for seniors or individuals with dietary restrictions.
- Ability to follow care plans that address individual needs.
- Strong communication skills paired with empathy and patience when interacting with clients.
